I bet you have heard of this book. It’s called, “The Richest Man in Babylon” and it was written by George S. Clason. It’s one of those books you know has been hanging around out there, but just never had any reason to read.
Well, since I got on my book kick, I decided to pick it up. When I ordered it, I was really excited. I think I picked this one out when I was getting “Rich Dad Poor Dad” and “The Millionaire Next Door.” It fit the same theme. The only problem I had was that when I finally received this book, I discovered that it was small in comparison to the others. I thought that it wasn’t going to offer much.
I put the book down and then picked it up after a few days. I flipped through the pages and read a few lines. It’s like the sentences were written on old English or something. I got kind of annoyed and planned on never reading the book.
Let’s fast forward to the point I ran out of books to read. Hmmm…there sat “The Richest Man In Babylon.” I decided to give it a shot. I actually only planned on skimming the first chapter, but I am more than half way through it now. I got used to the writing very quickly and started appreciating the content. It’s a very well written and insightful book.
I am going to show you a review by a fellow who calls himself the SilverFuturist. I love this guy because he always gives the most helpful reviews on things. It’s like you can give him an assignment and be blown away with his results. Here’s what the SilverFuturist has to say about “The Richest Man In Babylon.”
I think that about sums it up. Even though I am not finished with the book, I think it’s going to be a worthwhile read. I also like it because it really goes hand in hand with many of the other books that I have been reading.
